Get involved and help shape new ideas and future cardiac reporting at NICOR

21/12/2022

As part of NICOR’s commitment to put the patient voice at the heart of everything we do, we are actively looking for patient (or carer) representatives for several audits we run at NICOR and we are asking all our valued members and partners if you would be interested in participating, or if you know someone who would be interested?

We are currently looking for patients, or carers for patients who have undergone open heart surgery (e.g. bypass or heart valve surgery) or who have had a procedure done to help with an abnormal heart rhythm (e.g. having a pacemaker or implantable defibrillator inserted, or undergoing an ablation procedure for a rhythm disturbance). Your support and input would be invaluable and would help us to reflect your views and needs as patients, carers and family members.

We would primarily look to work electronically but there may be opportunities to take part in face to face focus groups from time to time. The time commitment is not onerous – quarterly meetings at most and we will provide guidance and help for those who are appointed. Remuneration is by way of vouchers to cover your time.

If you are interested or would like to know more, please do get in touch and we can arrange a call to discuss the support in more detail.

Please contact Sarah Colston, Senior Communications and Engagement Manager via email: sarah.colston@nhs.net who will be able to arrange a call at a time convenient.
