The National Audit of Cardiac Rhythm Management (CRM) collects information about all implanted cardiac devices and all patients receiving interventional procedures for management of cardiac rhythm disorders in the UK.
The audit aims to improve the care of patients who undergo pacemaker, ICD, CRT and cardiac ablation procedures in the UK, through the collection, analysis and dissemination of data relating to centres across the UK. The audit is commissioned by the Healthcare Quality Improvement Partnership (HQIP) and clinical leadership is provided by the British Heart Rhythm Society (BHRS).
Arrhythmia/CRM is part of the National Cardiac Audit Programme (NCAP) which published its annual report on Thursday 22 November 2018. The 2018 Annual Report for Arrhythmia will be published later with quality improvement findings from the CRM audit, as the analysis for this is ongoing.
